When playing with these blocks I find I spend more time linking up those fairly plain blocks than I do placing the stars!

The first design had just two different stars, the second has five.

I like it.
Outdoors the green has turned to gold in the paddocks so perhaps I should start a new file and use gold fabric designs, or use green and gold.
For now I will just try a different block, or two, in the border.

I added two different blocks to the border, and I still like it!

Very neat and tidy design.
In case you are wondering, these block designs, and yesterday’s designs too, are 4 patch blocks, drafted on a 16×16 grid.

The second design is maybe a little too busy.

I like it!

Nice fresh green … hope it brings nice new fresh growth on garden plants, not nice fresh weeds in the garden.

Love the second one.

Interesting … at first glance all the star blocks are identical, but five of them are a bit different.

Same border stars, then a row of different stars, and the ones in the centre have more points again!

Fifteen blocks, all slightly different, but I think they might work well together. I have added two joiner blocks which will come into use sometimes!
So here are the first new designs for 2021, and from a new project file.

I got this far, and had to add those joiner blocks.

Yes, that works for me, especially in the border!
Next task is to add some quilting motifs, based on the block designs!
